It's best to start tutoring 2-3 months before the scheduled exam. Practice is the most important thing you can do!
Get a book that has several practice tests.
Try to work at least one practice test per week (don't worry about the time limit at this point), but don't GUESS at any answers.
Check your answers against the key provided, then try to figure out how to do the ones you missed.
Bring to our sessions the problems that you didn't know how to start along with the ones you couldn't figure out how to do correctly even after you saw the right answer (or ones that you DID eventually get right, but it seemed really hard/involved -- there may be an easier way to do the problem).
